When I recently stumpled upon Salemtown Board Co. I couldn’t help but be all smiles when I read their whole story and checked out their video.
There are still people in this world who are truly not about the profit, but who are all about the people.

And these people are Wil & Schuyler, 2 skateboarding brothers who launched their non-profit and ethical skateboard label in Nashville, Tennessee. Their team is made up of young local kids, skateboard enthusiasts who need a job, but also have huge respect for nature.
Hand-painted and hand-polished.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it to Nashville though, they do offer their entire collection online as well.

As told by the boys:

We started as two guys in Nashville, TN, with $300 who wanted to build skateboards and see the world outside our front-doors change, even if just a little bit. A couple years later, we’re Will (big brother/dreamer), Schuyler (younger brother/practical guy) and a small crew of young bucks from the neighborhood. We are striving to do our part in changing our city by creating jobs for young men who need them here in Salemtown.
